Its composed of 9036 pieces and retails for 54999. It turns out the Colosseum is far from being the longest or the widest LEGO set. So with a few changes I was able to make it a true alternate in comparison a very small one actually.

In this video I give a brief look at the new LEGO Colosseum 10276 and build my own alternate model a castle with over 6000 pieces. The original set contains 9036 parts however the alternative model contains 6038 parts. The Colosseum on the other hand is built on a mesh of LEGO Technic pieces which gives the final model both solidness and stability.
