It usually gets better in 4 to 6 weeks but can last longer.

Sciatic pain comes from irritation of the sciatic nerve which runs from the lower part of our spine through the buttock down the back of the thigh and leg usually a bit towards the outer edge. Typically sciatica affects only one side of your body. When those smaller holes impinge on the nerve roots bilaterally then stenosis is the diagnosissends pain down both legs.
